Features: Vocabulary is a crucial component of language proficiency and plays a vital role in passing PETS exams at all levels. To help learners at various levels master PETS vocabulary and improve their language skills, we have compiled the National English Proficiency Test Vocabulary Handbook based on the National English Proficiency Test syllabus. The handbook is divided into two volumes: National English Proficiency Test Vocabulary Handbook (Levels 1 and 2) and National English Proficiency Test Vocabulary Handbook (Levels 3 and 4). The National English Proficiency Test Vocabulary Handbook (Levels 1 and 2) includes approximately 5,500 words and related phrases listed in the vocabulary lists for PETS Levels 1 and 2 through Level 4 exams. In addition to the original definitions, it also adds new definitions that candidates should master for Levels 3 and 4. Each entry includes the word, phonetic transcription, part of speech, and Chinese definitions. The Chinese definitions are arranged in order of frequency of use, which are the key definitions candidates should learn. Some entries also include examples, inflectional forms, distinctions, and usage notes, which provide practical guidance for candidates preparing for the exams.
