The main difference of this textbook is that it primarily uses the movable-do system, arranged according to the principle of gradual progress based on the seven tones of the movable-do system, which aligns with China's national conditions and the requirements of the satellite television education syllabus. Through methods such as auditory analysis, dictation, and sight-singing, it introduces common notes, rests, and their combinations, as well as major and minor triads and their inversions, seven positions of major and minor modes, and folk modes. The book includes a large number of musical examples that closely match the course content, mostly being famous folk songs from China and abroad. These examples help learners broaden their horizons and efficiently improve their sight-singing and auditory skills. This book is also suitable for use by teachers and students of normal universities and music enthusiasts.
