Features: Landscape architecture is one of the important elements constituting landscape. Broadly speaking, any small-scale construction built within garden spaces, such as scenic areas, parks, small gardens, and building courtyards, that meets high aesthetic requirements can be classified as landscape architecture. However, in practical work, when we refer to landscape architecture, we usually specifically mean small-scale ornamental structures like pavilions, galleries, bridges, and flower arches, as well as functional buildings with high aesthetic demands, such as boat docks, snack bars, and ticket booths. We do not include buildings with more complex functions and larger volumes, such as restaurants, tea houses, and exhibition halls in parks. The examples introduced in this book primarily focus on pavilions, galleries, and other (narrow sense) landscape architecture.
