Features:
1. This volume includes 5,933 legal terms in the field of law. The selected range covers nouns and terms, doctrines and schools, figures, organizations, works, etc.
2. This volume is organized into major categories such as Legal Theory, Legislation, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law, Commercial Law, Economic Law, Family Law, Labor Law, Procedural Law, Criminal Investigation, Forensic Medicine, Forensic Psychiatry, History of Chinese Legal System, History of Foreign Legal Systems, and International Law.
3. For interdisciplinary terms in related fields, one discipline selects the term based on its primary aspect, while other disciplines only include the term and annotate "Definition on page XX."
4. For terms with multiple meanings, they are listed with numbers (e.g., 1, 2, 3) to indicate different meanings.
5. For terms with multiple names or multiple translators, the most common name or translator is used as the main entry, while less common synonyms or alternative translations are listed as cross-references. Cross-reference entries do not provide explanations, and if a cross-reference needs to refer to other terms not on the same page, the page number of the main entry or other relevant term is noted.
6. Historical dates in ancient China are generally presented in traditional calendar terms, while modern and contemporary dates are generally presented in the Common Era (CE). When necessary, traditional calendar terms are added as notes. Foreign dates are generally presented in the Common Era (CE).
7. Foreign names are translated using the most widely accepted versions. Some translations may vary but are still in common use, and they are retained based on established conventions. Foreign names included as main entries (except for those from North Korea, South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam) are generally annotated with the original name or Latin transliteration. Foreign names mentioned in the definitions are optionally annotated with the original name and birth/death years if not included as main entries.
8. The legal and regulatory materials used in this volume are limited to those before October 2003.
9. This volume includes a classified index at the beginning and a stroke-order index at the end to provide readers with multiple search methods.
