Features: The essence of the market is competition, and effective competition is the prerequisite for optimizing resource allocation. Only in the market competition of survival of the fittest can enterprises strive to reduce production costs and prices, achieving the maximum output with the minimum input, thereby driving economic development and promoting the maximization of consumer interests and overall social benefits. The pursuit and maintenance of free competition have become the foundation of market economies in various countries. China's market economy system is currently in the process of improvement, and establishing a fair, orderly, and unified market competition order has become increasingly important. Therefore, competition law holds a significant position in the legal system of the market economy, and a complete competition law should include antitrust law and anti-unfair competition law. China has yet to enact the Antitrust Law, so the Anti-Unfair Competition Law of the People's Republic of China, enacted in 1993, has become the only law in China specifically regulating market competition. This law is concise and clear, establishing the types of unfair competition practices, as well as supervision, inspection, and legal responsibilities. The unfair competition practices stipulated in this law include commercial confusion and false representation, restrictive competition practices by public enterprises and the government, commercial bribery, false advertising, infringement of trade secrets, predatory pricing, tying goods and imposing additional transaction conditions, illegal prize promotions, commercial slander, and collusive bidding.
