It is renowned both at home and abroad for its leading-edge disciplines in engineering and medicine, and is currently vigorously developing its humanities and sciences, striving to build a first-class comprehensive research university. The School of Law at Central South University is one of the thriving disciplines, with a youthful faculty full of vitality and enthusiasm. Here, both seasoned and distinguished legal scholars provide guidance, while also attracting and gathering a group of brilliant young scholars. They come from all over the country, absorbing the profound intellectual heritage of Huaxiang culture. Their starting point is the solid foundation accumulated over more than two decades of exploration in Chinese legal studies. With an open perspective, innovative thinking, and research methods, they focus on cutting-edge legal issues and major events in the rule of law society. Rooted in their local context, their vision extends to China and the world. They carry forward the spirited legacy of their predecessors, viewing intellectual debate as the essential path to academic progress, while remaining firmly grounded in rigor and rationality. Upholding the ancient principle of "seeking truth from facts," they foster an academic atmosphere of innovation, debate, collaboration, and striving for excellence. Here, they contemplate, write, engage in discussions, and refine their ideas. They will grow alongside Chinese legal studies and integrate with the world. They represent a new force in the field of law for the 21st century.
China Press, with its unique courage and vision, has turned its attention to this emerging academic group and decided to support the publication of the Central South University Legal Studies Series. To this end, the School of Law has established an editorial committee. The editorial committee has decided to implement a strict double-blind peer review system to ensure the quality of the series through fair academic standards, excellent academic traditions, and rigorous academic style, thereby living up to the trust and expectations of the publishers, authors, and readers. The editorial committee has chosen representative works from the published writings of faculty members in our school, showcasing our contributions to Chinese legal studies. We hope that this series will continue and receive widespread support and attention, and we welcome criticism and suggestions from all quarters. We know that there is still a long way to go, and we are now accelerating our pace.
