Features: This film is considered an outlier in my works. I'm unsure how to categorize it, but if forced to, it should fall under "Youth Growth." It tells the story of a 16-year-old Chinese girl who ventures alone to the UK. She didn't waste her blooming years and turned this wonderful experience into a book—The Sheep with Wings, which became a bestseller. This girl is Jennifer Li, whose English name is Jennifer Li. Later, she became the female lead in Seven Hours of Time Difference. The book discusses friendship, naive love, ambiguous sexuality, and the drifting life in a foreign land. All these themes deeply resonate with me, inspiring strong creative motivation and challenges.
The film Seven Hours of Time Difference, adapted from Jennifer Li's novel The Sheep with Wings, will be released nationwide starting October 27. The Sheep with Wings is Jennifer Li's debut novel, and Seven Hours of Time Difference is her first time adapting a script as a screenwriter, with Jennifer Li also starring as the female lead. The film company will hold premiere events in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, and Chengdu.
Based on her filming experiences, Jennifer Li wrote the documentary novel Electric London—The Shooting Diary of Seven Hours of Time Difference. As her first time as a screenwriter and first time acting in a film, Jennifer Li vividly recounts the joys and sorrows of the filming and production process, accompanied by numerous stills and behind-the-scenes photos. The book is rich in visuals and highly readable. Additionally, it comes with a free DVD containing a one-minute trailer, the film's theme song, and background music.
