Features: Child psychologists have long recommended that children and adolescents read fables early and often, believing that fables contribute to their physical and mental health development. This is mainly based on the following considerations:
1. Fables help children recognize society at an early age. Many stories in fables are summaries of the life experiences and education of previous generations, with their essence lying in revealing the fundamental principles of normal interpersonal interactions and basic skills for getting along with others. Fables have a clear, praising certain things and warning against others, making it obvious. Learning the wisdom of how to behave and handle situations, fables are the best textbook.
2. Fables enhance children's appreciation and thinking abilities. Fables are an excellent example of teaching through entertainment. Personification is a common artistic technique in fables, where birds, beasts, flowers, and fish depict the joys and sorrows of human life. A large number of experiments by child psychologists have shown that young readers are more willing to grasp life's philosophies through appreciation rather than dry instruction.
3. Fables improve children's language expression skills. Fables originate from folklore, with refined plots and vivid, expressive language. Young readers unconsciously absorb the unique artistic charm of fables through reading. While it is important to feel the warmth of life, it is equally important to recognize its complexity and challenges. A child's growth cannot be separated from adult guidance. It is important to ensure children are well-fed and clothed, but it is even more important to cultivate their courage to face difficulties and setbacks, to never retreat, and to overcome them with perseverance and clever wisdom.
