Features: This book selects and compiles the atrocities committed by the Japanese invading forces against Chinese civilians and soldiers in North China during their large-scale "sweeps." The content includes the occupation policy of the Japanese forces in North China and an overview of the "sweeps," specific details of several major "sweeps" by the Japanese forces between 1939 and 1943, and archival materials on the investigations by the Post-War Liberation Area Relief Committee into the atrocities of the Japanese forces during the large-scale "sweeps" in North China. Appendices include "The Situation of Japanese Forces in North China" and "The Situation of Puppet Forces in North China." This book is an archival collection. Although the Japanese imperialists, upon their defeat and surrender, burned most of their archival materials in China to destroy evidence of their crimes, a large amount of material documenting their atrocities still exists. This allows us to dedicate this book to the readers of Wuda. However, due to limited resources, this book can only be presented as a "selection." For the convenience of readers, the book is organized into thematic volumes, covering the "September 18th Incident," the North China Incident, the puppet Manchukuo and Wang Jingwei regime, the repeated major atrocities in Northeast China, the fascist rule of the Manchukuo police and constitution, the large-scale "sweeps" in North China, the atrocities of the Japanese forces in various regions, biological warfare, and economic plunder, each with its own volume. The facts reflected in the selected archival materials are mostly from 1931 to 1945.
