"These methods might seem unconventional, and some may even surprise you, but they are effective. I’m sure of it." —Sang Lin
The initial inspiration for writing this book came from two themed posts by the author on the China Marketing Communications Network in June 2004, titled "The Impossible Mission" and "The Sosoco Dream," written under the pen name "Sunlight Coast." These posts recorded some of my insights and experiences at work. The author wrote these without a specific purpose, merely as a habit—a summary and reflection. The writing was initially very casual, but to the author’s relief, many friends replied, sharing their thoughts and perspectives, bringing a sense of joy from this exchange. Some friends suggested organizing these posts into a "situational case study marketing manual," and the earliest suggestion came from Brother Liu Guantao. Under his advice and persistent encouragement, after nearly six months of editing, expansion, and revision, this book, "Marketing Team Training Manual—How Excellent Marketers Are Made," was born.
This book is not a textbook and cannot be called a "monograph." It is merely a diary of a marketer fighting on the front line of channel development, a record of a marketer’s growth journey. The author believes that any marketer who has devoted their heart and soul to the marketing industry will have their own experiences and reflections, and these are all valuable treasures. The author’s difference lies in expressing these things in written form to share with readers. As for whether the content of this book truly holds value, that is left for the readers to judge.
