Features: This book includes 920 non-prescription drug varieties from the first and second batches of the "National Non-Prescription Drug Catalog" announced by the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA). Part 3 covers self-medication for common diseases and symptoms, introducing the basic concepts and clinical manifestations of 50 common conditions; patient self-assessment and related warning signs; advice and common clinical treatment plans for specific conditions; adjunctive therapies; non-prescription Western and Chinese patent medicines for treatment; medication precautions and notes.
Part 4 is on the knowledge of safe and rational drug use, primarily presented in a Q&A format to introduce relevant knowledge about non-prescription drugs and general principles of rational drug use. It includes basic knowledge of drug application, a guide for elderly patients, proper use of contraceptives, a gynecological medication guide, a pregnancy and lactation medication guide, and a pediatric medication guide.
At the end of the book, there is an appendix including a drug name index and the recently announced third, fourth, and fifth batches of the "National Non-Prescription Drug Catalog."
