Features: This book includes 313 Shanghai old songs. The songs are arranged by the calligraphy stroke order of the composers' surnames, with a short biography for each composer. The original name of the composer is used before each song. Each song has an introductory short article, and in principle, a matching photograph is attached. For songs with multiple versions, introductions are provided in the text. For example, the song "Cai Liang Yao" was recorded by Lu Ming, Zhou Xuan, and Yao Li, and each version is introduced separately. The appendices of this book include: "Shanghai – The Cradle of Chinese Popular Music" and "Yesterday's Stars – Shanghai Old Singers."
