Features: Since the Wright brothers invented the airplane in 1903, the aviation industry has experienced rapid development. Aviation medicine has played an important role in aircraft design, flight safety, flight training, and enhancing the combat effectiveness of air forces. After China's reform and opening-up, academic exchanges with international aviation medicine colleagues have become increasingly frequent. To meet the needs of the aviation medicine community in China for translating English books and journals and conducting academic exchanges, we compiled this book based on the expertise of foreign aviation medicine specialists and journals over the past decade, as well as our years of translation experience, for use by a wide range of aviation doctors, aviation medicine researchers, clinical doctors, and aviation engineering technicians in China. This dictionary collects nearly 10,000 English words and abbreviations related to aviation medicine and its related disciplines. English words are arranged in alphabetical order by the first letter. English words are primarily based on British usage, but American-specific terms are retained in American form. The Chinese-English section is arranged in pinyin order. In English phrases, the base word is listed first in alphabetical order, separated by commas, while adjectives, nouns, or prepositional phrases follow with a hyphen. Compound words formed by connecting two or more words with a hyphen are treated as a single word. Arabic numerals and various symbols in or around base words and phrases are ignored in the arrangement order, and only the alphabetical order is considered.
