Features: To promote the popularization and application of scientific and technological achievements, rapidly transform environmental science and technology into practical capabilities for pollution prevention, improve the efficiency of environmental protection investment, and promote coordinated development of the environment and economy, the State Environmental Protection Administration began in 1991 and issued the "Measures for the Administration of National Key Environmental Protection Practical Technology Extension" (No. 12 of the State Environmental Protection Administration) in November 1993. Local environmental protection administrative departments should strictly implement the "Measures for the Administration of National Key Environmental Protection Practical Technology Extension" and encourage the priority use of national key environmental protection practical technologies and demonstration projects in environmental management. To enable national key environmental protection practical technologies to directly reach users and facilitate information exchange, we edited and published the "Compendium of National Key Environmental Protection Practical Technology and Demonstration Projects (2005)." The compendium provides a clear and concise introduction to the scope of application, basic principles, process flows, technical indicators, benefit analysis, and technical services of each technology and demonstration project. The "compendium" was compiled based on technical documents submitted by the supporting units of each technology after necessary review and editing.
