For this purpose, the book selects materials from abroad that hold research value and utility, aiming to provide as detailed and comprehensive an introduction as possible to the state and scope of research on the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC) abroad. It strives to objectively evaluate the sources and achievements of CPC history research abroad, to accurately summarize its characteristics and patterns, and to better facilitate Chinese scholars in locating and utilizing relevant research materials from abroad. Given that Chinese scholars have already introduced and reviewed a significant amount of research on CPC history abroad, our review of foreign research primarily focuses on publications from 1950 onwards.
