Features: Longwang Cave is located 10 kilometers east of the Wulingyuan World Natural Heritage Site, on the south side of the main road 53.8 kilometers from Cili County, with extremely convenient transportation. It is one of the core tourist attractions in Zhangjiajie and has been praised by speleological experts as the "World's Most Extraordinary Cave." It is one of the largest and oldest caves in China, possessing extremely high scientific research value and tourism development potential.
Since its development, Longwang Cave has suffered from insufficient investment, inadequate development of cave types, underdeveloped hardware infrastructure, and poor business performance. To allow this shining gem to shine and shape it into a premium tourist attraction in Zhangjiajie, the Bailong Tourism Zhangjiajie Group leased Longwang Cave in August 2003 and established Zhangjiajie Wanlong Tourism and Transportation Development Co., Ltd. They invested heavily in its in-depth development. Today, a large building with a distinctive ethnic style has been built, integrating office space, shopping, dining, and leisure facilities. The newly constructed scenic route inside Longwang Cave has been extended from the original 2 kilometers to the current 3.5 kilometers, designed by experts, and equipped with world-class lighting to reveal previously hidden marvels to visitors.
It has now been explored that Longwang Cave is approximately 30 kilometers long, with an average height of 50 meters and a width of 80 meters. It contains 58 halls and platforms, 28 stone corridors, 15 pearl waterfalls, 3 underground rivers, 2 lakes, and 45 waterflower pools. Stalactites, stalagmites, stone curtains, and stone flowers are scattered throughout the cave, dazzlingly beautiful. Among them is the "Heavenly Pillar," known as the Longwang Treasure Pillar, which stands tall and majestic, leaving visitors in awe.
87 meters to the right and slightly below the entrance of Longwang Cave lies a deep pool named "Longwang Pool." The surface of the pool covers an area of over 400 square meters, surrounded by steep cliffs. The depth of the pool remains a mystery, as no one has yet explored it. The water level of Longwang Pool remains unchanged throughout the year, but occasional tides occur due to seasonal and climatic changes, earning it the nickname "Shadow Sea." In the mornings and evenings, the pool is shrouded in mist, occasionally revealing fish swimming, wild ducks playing, and white doves taking flight, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Experts have confirmed that the water in Longwang Pool not only has aesthetic value but also holds significance for astronomical research.
Longwang Pool is surrounded by numerous unexplained mysteries and beautiful legends, earning it the title of the "Wonderful Pool." On this fertile land, a legendary figure was also raised: Du Xinwu, the bodyguard of the Republic of China and a renowned martial artist in both the north and south. His former residence is located near Longwang Pool, and it is said that his martial arts skills were honed in these extraordinary caves and pools.
Dear friends, welcome to explore the "Wonderful Pool and Mysterious Caves." The magic of nature will allow you to marvel at the wonders of the underground labyrinth, and the mysterious Longwang Pool awaits your discovery. Here, you will create the most beautiful and unforgettable memories of your life.
