Today, stamp collectors are spread all over the world, with over 100 million people. In the past decade, the number of stamp collectors in China has surged to over 17 million. The tiny stamps have attracted more and more collectors to this unique artistic world, where they enjoy with great interest and tirelessly pursue collecting, making it a thriving industry.
The People's Post Bureau has specially issued a personalized stamp for this commemorative album—the documentary series "Dare to Conquer—World War II Chronicles," which records the grand scenes and little-known facts of World War II with a wealth of images and audiovisual records. The legendary figures of the war are all included. To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War and the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in China, the China Philatelic Association and the China Collectors' Federation have jointly supervised the production and issuance of the "Chronicles of Valor—World War II Stamp and Coin Album" by Hong Kong Shangcheng International Collectibles Co., Ltd. and The Royal Lord Attenborough Collection Union. This is a multimedia stamp and coin album with a rich variety of stamps and contents, including 225 items in total, consisting of stamps, coins, seals, and digital versions. The album features the legendary figures of the World Anti-Fascist War as its main theme, covering over 200 precious commemorative stamps from more than 20 countries, including the United States, the former Soviet Union, Germany, and China, 3 ancient silver coins, 10 gold seals, and 17 documentary DVDs of World War II. The content spans four continents—Europe, Asia, America, and Africa—and includes the war criminals like Hitler, the Big Three of the Allied Powers, and the leaders, marshals, and classic battles of all participating countries.
A special collection includes a significant number of liberated area stamps from China (commonly referred to as "zone stamps") and 3 European ancient silver coins. Liberation area stamps are not only treasures in Chinese philately but also precious revolutionary historical artifacts of our country. Due to their irreplaceable nature, their market prices have frequently risen, and they hold high collection and cultural value. To ensure historical accuracy, each stamp in the album has been authenticated by experts, making it highly valuable for research and collection.
Introduction to Ancient Silver Coins: The ancient silver coins in this collection were obtained after years of painstaking effort and took 10 years to acquire from collectors abroad. Due to their limited quantity, only 250 coins were obtained, making this album a limited edition of 250 sets worldwide. It includes:
- "President Hindenburg of the Third Reich of Germany (1938)" (German Swastika Silver Coin), issued by Germany. After Germany's defeat, this coin suffered severe damage, and very few remain in existence. It was purchased at a high price from foreign coin museums, collection associations, and collectors, and is now preserved in this album. It holds cultural value.
- Winston Churchill Commemorative Coin, issued by the United Kingdom. Due to its age, it is highly valuable and a prized collectible.
- Franklin D. Roosevelt Commemorative Coin, issued by the United States. It holds significant collection value.
