In April of this year, I happily agreed with the author in Paris to translate the book from French to Chinese. Additionally, the book provides a novel introduction to the origins and spread of mad cow disease in Europe in recent years. Because this is a disease spread between two different species, it involves a danger that no one could have anticipated in advance, with its consequences and scale remaining unknown. Therefore, looking to the future, we can learn lessons from it.
