Features: The center of Qing history studies is in China. It is undeniable that outstanding works on Qing history should be written by Chinese historians. However, this does not exclude the need to understand and selectively absorb the positive achievements of foreign scholars' research. It is also essential to introduce and analyze academic trends, cutting-edge issues, hot topics, and significant results in overseas Qing history studies in a timely manner, as well as to strengthen exchanges between Qing history scholars at home and abroad. Based on the above understanding, the National Compilation Committee of Chinese History has approved the decision by the Compilation Group of the National Compilation Committee of Chinese History to compile and publish The Qing History Translation Series. This series will, depending on the circumstances, introduce the latest developments in overseas Qing history studies to China through columns such as thematic research, selected works and documents, academic reviews, interviews with experts, overseas features, theoretical debates, excerpts of viewpoints, and book reviews. The Qing History Translation Series is a shared space for all Qing history researchers and enthusiasts. Let us work together to nurture it with our hard efforts, so that it can make greater contributions to the compilation of Qing history.
