Features: With the gradual deepening of curriculum reform in basic education, experimental textbooks compiled according to the Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards have been widely welcomed by teachers and students in many regions. To help teachers and students better learn and use the Chinese textbook of the experimental compulsory education curriculum standards series published by the People's Education Press, we have organized senior and advanced-level teachers on the front lines of teaching to compile this series of books. Guided by the basic spirit of the Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards, this series fully reflects the editorial philosophy of the textbooks and embodies the harmonious unity of the humanistic and instrumental nature of the Chinese discipline. It constructs a reasonable structure for students' Chinese literacy from three aspects: "Knowledge and Skills," "Process and Methods," and "Attitudes, Values, and Aesthetics." It provides a detailed analysis and explanation of the textbooks, develops learning resources, and designs training projects aimed at developing abilities and fostering innovative thinking, offering practical and effective help for students' independent learning, collaborative learning, and inquiry-based learning. In the "Reading" section, in addition to explaining the texts from the aspects of "Language Cards" and "Text Appreciation," it also includes two columns: "Related Links" and "In-depth Problem Analysis." The former provides materials related to the textbooks to facilitate students' independent learning and research-based learning; the latter offers a set of classic sample questions from the perspective of textbook appreciation, analyzing and summarizing problem-solving strategies and patterns to cultivate students' appreciation skills.
In the "Writing" section, there are both methodological guidance and sample text introductions, with a strong emphasis on creating writing scenarios to inspire students' creativity. The "Oral Communication" section emphasizes the civilized and appropriate use of language to cultivate students' social skills. The "Practical Activities" section strengthens the connection between Chinese and daily life, highlighting the importance of learning Chinese through practice. The "Extracurricular Reading" section provides exquisite short essays with detailed annotations, aiming to broaden students' horizons and spark their interest in reading literary works. The training questions in various sections remain primarily focused on reading and writing ability training, with a majority of subjective questions, while appropriately increasing open-ended and inquiry-based training questions to cultivate students' innovative spirit and practical abilities.
We believe that this series of books will be highly beneficial for better implementing the spirit of the Curriculum Standards, learning experimental textbooks, and fostering good learning habits.
