Features: Populism is essentially a modern phenomenon. As the economy of modernity develops and the international and domestic political landscapes change, populist movements or ideologies have emerged in various parts of the world. In contemporary society, populism often appears in various forms, sometimes disguised in the statements of politicians and thinkers. It can be said that populism is a global and widespread phenomenon and ideology. However, it is embarrassing that to this day, people still cannot clearly define or explain it, and there has been no relatively clear and unified consensus. In fact, according to Mr. Taggart's view, its characteristic is its variability and mutability. Seeking its clear meaning often leads to disappointment and futility. Populism has an extremely complex and rich connotation. It is both a political mindset and a political ideology, as well as a social movement and a political strategy. As a political mindset, it is a very complex and unpredictable political psychology. As a complex political ideology, it lacks internal logical coherence and general theoretical systematicity. Its manifestations vary across different countries and regions, and even within the same country at different periods. Moreover, due to the lack of an independent and complete theoretical system, it often relies on other political thoughts and ideologies. As a social movement, it often advocates radical reforms from the bottom up through the power of the people. At the same time, in social movements, it often treats the people as a tool and means to achieve goals, praising the strength and wisdom of the people. The leaders of the movement often use it as a strategy to realize their objectives.
