Features: In an era of rapidly developing assisted reproductive technologies, interdisciplinary reproductive medicine has continuously pushed the research on "test-tube babies" to the forefront of the field. New technologies are emerging constantly, but reproductive medicine in China still faces many challenges during its development. The main issues revolve around how to improve the clinical pregnancy rate of test-tube babies, reduce multiple pregnancies and miscarriage rates, and further advance human reproductive engineering, such as research on embryonic stem cells and tissue/organ engineering, to accelerate China's reproductive medicine integration with the international community. The sensitive ethical, moral, and legal concepts involved in reproductive medicine still require further discussion. Although China's reproductive medicine has shown promising development, the journey ahead remains arduous. To meet the needs of China's assisted reproductive technology development, we have compiled this book, Modern Assisted Reproductive Technology. The book is divided into four parts: basic knowledge of reproductive medicine, clinical applications, laboratory techniques, and the prevention and treatment of complications. It aims to provide medical professionals involved in assisted reproductive technology with theoretical foundations and practical references, and also hopes to serve as a valuable guide for non-professionals in the field. The editors of this book are primarily clinical doctors and researchers from the Reproductive Medicine Center of the Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, and the content is primarily based on our own experiences, reflecting the insights gained from years of work in assisted reproductive technology at our center.
