Organic chemistry

Features: Compared to the previous edition, the overall framework of this version remains largely unchanged. Only some chapters have been adjusted and merged, outdated and repetitive content has been removed, and the starting point has been raised. This revision also incorporates the new achievements in discipline development and teaching reform over the past decade. The chapters with significant changes include: alkanes and cycloalkanes being combined into one chapter, and alkenes, alkynes, and dienes being combined into another chapter, so that the structure and nomenclature of aliphatic hydrocarbons can be discussed together. The chapter on carboxylic acids and their derivatives in the previous edition was overly complex. In this revision, the content on fats, surfactants, etc., has been extracted and combined with terpenes, steroids, and phospholipids into a new chapter—lipids. The chapter on organic synthesis has been merged into the chapter on carboxylic acids as a section. The content on organic chemistry mechanisms is scattered throughout relevant chapters, which is beneficial for students' comprehension and understanding. This book is used as a teaching material for chemistry students in normal colleges and can also be referenced by teachers and students in other institutions of similar disciplines.
