Features: This book is based on urban geography and urban planning, with spatial analysis as the main thread, systematically exploring the formation and development mechanisms of new industrial spaces in Chinese cities, the spatial location and structural regularities, as well as the mechanisms of spatial integration. To provide an empirical foundation for the research, the book takes Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, and Nantong in Jiangsu Province as empirical regions and the Suzhou-Singapore Industrial Park as a specific case for analysis. The author argues that in the development of new industrial spaces in Chinese cities, the spatial differentiation effect, the synergistic effect of innovation and openness, and the "halo" effect of spatial expansion constitute the formation and development mechanisms. Meanwhile, the regularity of locational benefits and the micro-locational-structural-functional correlation law constitute the spatial organization regularities of new industrial spaces in Chinese cities. To enhance the development efficiency of these spaces, the book proposes a spatial integration and coordination mechanism as well as a four-level dynamic benefit evaluation method. Finally, the book also provides an outlook on the future development of new industrial spaces in Chinese cities. This book is suitable for researchers, managers, and decision-makers in fields such as urban geography, urban planning, urban land, urban economics, and urban and development zone management, as well as for faculty and students of relevant disciplines in universities and colleges.
