The fourth edition was revised according to the divisional projects listed in the Unified Standard for Acceptance of Construction Project Quality in Building Engineering. During the revision, outdated, obsolete, or unnecessary construction techniques and methods were removed, while new techniques and methods that have been innovatively developed in recent years and are increasingly widely applied were added, such as large deep foundation pit excavation and support, (jǐ kuò duō zhī fān chéng lì pán yǔ duō zhī pán zhuāng),、 (wǎn kòu shì, mén guǎng guǎn jiǎo shǒu jià), rivet welding technology for steel components, and so on. In terms of writing format, it still primarily adopts a tabular style, with concise and clear descriptions for easy understanding.
