Features: Xu Jiesun, male, born in December 1943 in Lingling, Hunan, with ancestral roots in Yuyao, Zhejiang. He graduated from the History and Politics Department of the Central University for Nationalities Branch (now Central South University for Nationalities) in 1965. Currently, he serves as the Director and Executive Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Guangxi University for Nationalities, a Professor at the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of Guangxi University for Nationalities, a Doctoral Supervisor in Anthropology at the Central University for Nationalities, and concurrently the Director of the Han Nationality Research Center at Guangxi University for Nationalities. He has long been engaged in anthropological and ethnological research, publishing over 30 books and more than 200 academic papers. His representative works include The History of Han Nationality Development and Snowball: An Anthropological Analysis of the Han Nationality. He has made pioneering and creative contributions in the study of the Han nationality, as well as in the fields of anthropology, ethnology, national history, national theory, and folklore. In 1994, he was honored by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Government with the title of "Outstanding Science and Technology Personnel" and recognized as a leader of the regional key discipline.
