Features: On the journey of art, there are always some unexpected scenes and emotions. They come un before your eyes, just like the small paintings presented here. The scenes within these small pages are considered a very small part of my artistic career, or perhaps just a fragment. How to accurately describe this series of paintings? To be honest, even I can't immediately put it into words. Let's temporarily call them "Realistic Landscapes." Because they can be said to represent my initial feelings about art, the most direct and authentic record of reality. Like a hand pressing the camera's shutter, looking where it looks good and pressing. In fact, I also took beautiful scenes with a camera and then expressed them through another materialization method. The only change is that in this process, the hustle and bustle of reality are omitted, and everything returns to simplicity and tranquility. The tools are simple—a knife and a few common colors. I never thought of publishing these things, always feeling that they are just a fragment of my artistic life, not yet reaching the chapter of the grand play. Mr. Wei Zhigang specifically chose to publish these small paintings, and there must be his reasons. Perhaps it is precisely because of their simplicity. The path of art is walked step by step, and I clearly know what I am busy with from morning to night. Looking back, what has accompanied my growth and cannot be separated from me is the act of recording life. The eyes are the shutter, and the heart is the filter. In this initial visual experience, waiting for or igniting an elevation—this should be the value orientation of these paintings. The two paintings, "Radiance" and "Western Sky," were intentionally included. It is not difficult to see the shadow of the small paintings expanding from them. Imagine if these tiny grains were to form a vast desert—how magical that would be.
