Features: When I conduct project management professional training for many international projects, I found that, apart from a few excellent books like P.W.G. Morris's Project Management, most project management reference materials devote too much space to describing project rules from narrow or theoretical perspectives, which offers very limited practical value for project sponsors, versatile project managers, and students. The purpose of this book is to outline the fundamental principles of establishing, managing, or participating in a successful project. It aims to achieve quality control in project concepts, feasibility analysis, planning management, control, and evaluation through describing the content of project management courses that can bring more practical knowledge. By describing the characteristics of projects, this book attempts to address various issues that arise sequentially in the project process, from concepts, feasibility analysis, risk analysis, and resource management, often appearing and being discussed before the main project team members are determined. The work of the main project team members includes developing detailed plans, project design, managing to project handover, project closure, and subsequent evaluation. During the description of project implementation, it is inevitable for the topics to overlap due to the interrelated activities. The book selects some analytical cases, covering different disciplines, scenarios, scales, and geographical regions. All the cases are based on real events, but for confidentiality and sensitive legal reasons, we conceal the real identities of the individuals or organizations involved. We attempt to selectively describe some perspectives through the study of these cases, from which different readers may draw other implicit conclusions. This book is written for agents, sponsors, managers, or participants engaged in project work, hoping it can provide reference value for students of management disciplines, principals, project managers, project contractors, project leaders, and experts in other disciplines.
