Features: Can humans see future events in dreams? The protagonist claims that if a dream is red, it will come true. Each delivered letter ordering a murder and the poisoning incident with cola create an unpleasant association with the phrase "Kill this person." A person who calls herself "BMIMISS," seemingly deceived by a professional marriage scammer, unexpectedly reveals the truth and successfully avenges herself. The work explores the depths of modern psychology, filled with hidden danger and astonishing mystery. Takao Adachi's novels are imbued with a mysterious atmosphere. In the world, there is much more that we do not know than what we do know. Is death the end of life? Does nature possess mysterious powers? Is there telepathy between heaven and earth? This may not be the kind of question a writer who focuses on human portrayal would explore. However, some mysterious, bizarre, and suspenseful short stories often become the for writers to express their understanding and insights into society, life, and life phenomena. I feel that Takao Adachi seems to have been influenced by the supernatural horror novels that flourished in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in the West, dedicating himself to cultivating the "strange" flower in the soil of mysterious, bizarre, and suspenseful life. Many of his works are filled with a supernatural and irrational force, such as Falling Cherry Blossoms and Snow, The Scent of Death, The Refreshing Eyes, The Study of Prophecy, and The Incredible Sound. These works tell us that beyond the world of human life, there exists something elusive, omnipresent, and all-knowing, which controls, influences, and participates in our lives. The more realistic the work is, the more it can create a mysterious and oppressive, tense and terrifying atmosphere, making readers shiver with fear, sweat down their spines, and feel breathless. The charm of supernatural forces is so captivating—it is the success of Takao Adachi!
