Features: Fences are an important component of urban landscapes, serving as the interface between architecture and the city. Whether enhancing the building itself or enriching the urban landscape, their role is undeniable. The purpose of this illustrated collection is to inspire the creativity of urban planners and make our living environment more beautiful. Currently, urban construction in China is booming, and urban landscape development is gaining increasing attention. As the interface between architecture and the city, fences play an indispensable role in both highlighting the building and enriching the urban landscape. However, the public's attention to fences remains generally low. Administrative departments primarily focus on the individual effects when reviewing plans, while developers are mainly concerned with the commercial value of the buildings. Few pay attention to improving the overall environmental quality, and designers, driven by their own interests, often rush through outdoor design, making fences mere additions by ordinary construction workers. Due to these reasons, fence design often conflicts with the original intent of architectural design, sometimes even going against it. This illustrated collection was organized and compiled by the Tianjin Street Comprehensive Repair Office, representing a constructive exploration and attempt. It actively incorporates research and application results of fence design from both domestic and international sources, striving to be scientific, practical, and contemporary.
