This book takes all the mundane daily routines and places them in a different setting, making them come alive with vivid flavor—let alone, the refined Italy and the water city with a rich past that bring us so many surprises and reflections for those living a landlocked life. From an aerial view, a front-row perspective, understanding the city's life through its architecture; from imagining the desires and fears of its inhabitants through churches and festivals, to experiencing the distance of taste buds from a minute of drinking coffee to four hours of cooking fish soup. This is a water city life diary by two architects, different from postcards. What's the difference between crossing bridges over water every day and walking on asphalt roads? Or getting lost in the shimmering reflections of buildings while walking? All the mundane daily routines, when placed in a different setting, come alive with flavor—let alone, the refined lifestyle of Italy and the water city with a rich past that bring us so many surprises and reflections for those living a landlocked life.
