Volume 8 includes Xu Zhimo's "Chronology of Writings and Translations" and "Bibliography of Individual Works." The Complete Collection of Xu Zhimo took eight years to compile and consists of eight volumes, totaling approximately 2.5 million words. It encompasses all of Xu Zhimo's works that are currently available. Han Shishan, the chief editor, is also one of the scholars who study Xu Zhimo. According to him, the Complete Collection integrates the discoveries of experts and scholars from all over the country over the past decade, who have provided many previously uncollected works of Xu Zhimo that were not included in earlier editions.
