Features: Based on the actual needs of candidates, the following arrangements were made when compiling this book: Part 1: A Brief Analysis of the Trends in the Gaokao. Part 3: Gaokao Test-Taking Skills. Based on different testing angles of the questions, it provides a detailed analysis of reading comprehension questions in recent years' Gaokao English papers. Candidates can see the question-setting logic and assessment intentions of the setters, thereby mastering the answer-taking skills. Part 4: Breakthrough Training. It provides 20 passages for candidates to practice, categorized by different types of Gaokao English reading comprehension questions (roughly divided into narrative texts, argumentative texts, expository texts, and application texts). The content covers topics such as popular science, astronomy and geography, biographies, anecdotes of famous figures, philosophical short essays, science and education, local customs, news reports, and historical and cultural aspects. These passages are all carefully selected by the compilers after in-depth research on Gaokao question setting and summarizing long-term teaching practices from major domestic and international newspapers and magazines. As long as candidates combine the answer-taking skills provided in Part 3 and approach each question seriously, their reading comprehension ability is sure to achieve a breakthrough in improvement.
