Features: The Chinese nation has a history of thousands of years of civilization, creating a splendid ancient culture and leaving behind rich spiritual treasures for humanity. It not only played a significant role in uniting and shaping the Chinese nation but also continues to hold great practical significance today. It helps people correctly understand their national history, provides patriotic education, cultivates moral sentiments, enhances the cultural quality of the entire nation, and promotes the prosperity of socialist culture. These are the cultural essence of our Yellow River descendants and have shaped the national spirit of the Chinese nation. To inherit our excellent cultural heritage and carry forward the historical legacy of our ancient civilization, we have launched the "Chinese Traditional Culture Classics Library" series. This series adheres to the principle of innovating while preserving tradition. It selects 20 renowned classics from the history of Chinese literature, philosophy, history, geography, and science and technology, publishing them in the form of modern translations of ancient texts. We first focus on selecting immortal masterpieces that are representative in ancient Chinese philosophy, history, geography, literature, and science and technology, while also including famous and widely circulated selections passed down through generations. Considering the need for popularization and the target audience, most of the classics are translated selectively, with annotations provided for the selected parts. The translations strive for accuracy and fluency, easing readers into the complexities and difficulties of ancient texts and making it easier for them to engage with the essence of ancient Chinese culture in a fast-paced era. This allows readers of all ages—elderly, middle-aged, and young—to enjoy and understand the works, deriving wisdom from them. Additionally, the series is published in a full-color, (text-and-image) format, allowing readers to appreciate famous landscape paintings while reading the texts, creating a sense of tranquility and pleasure.
