Features: In the new era of China's entry into the World Trade Organization and further integration into the global economy, the importance of intellectual property has long been recognized by people. Looking ahead, the journey ahead is arduous. In May 2005, amidst the joy of the university's centennial celebration, intellectual property experts and scholars from inside and outside the university gathered together to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of this center and to contribute insights into various issues related to "knowledge innovation and technology transfer." It should be particularly mentioned that at the end of 2004, the globally renowned multinational high-tech company, Philips (China) Investment Co., Ltd., signed an agreement with Fudan University to support intellectual property teaching and research. This center will undertake intellectual property research related to technology transfer. This symposium will provide a solid foundation for future in-depth research.
