It details the influence of Hinduism on Indian politics, economy, culture, and social life during various periods. A dedicated chapter introduces the global impact of Hinduism. The book is well-researched and presents objective viewpoints. The fundamental purpose of this work is not merely to study Hinduism itself but to explore its relationship and mutual influence with social development. Hinduism is India's largest religion and has profoundly impacted every aspect of Indian society. The book comprehensively examines Hinduism's connections with social reform, national movements, economic development, sectarian conflicts, contemporary politics, the caste system, the Dalit movement, and women's issues. It also elaborates on the spread and influence of Hinduism in various countries worldwide. The book's focus is on exploring the impact of Hinduism on all levels of society in modern times. However, to provide readers with a complete overview of Hinduism's history and development, we briefly introduce its history, core doctrines, main characteristics, and role in social development in the "Introduction" chapter. We explain the three stages of Hinduism's development history: Ancient Vedic religion, Brahmanism, and Hinduism (Neo-Brahmanism). We also discuss five key characteristics of Hinduism: an ancient and vibrant religion, a synthesis of multiple beliefs and lifestyles, a combination of polytheism and monotheism, the implementation of a strict social hierarchy, and an emphasis on religious rituals and ceremonial worship.
