Features: This book combines theoretical knowledge of food research, addressing common issues in food production and research, and introduces techniques and methods for data processing using Excel and SAS software, as well as for drawing food engineering diagrams using AutoCAD software. It also explores the development principles and approaches of professional software in food processing, such as automatic control, enterprise economic analysis, food processing process simulation, and food enterprise informatization. To help readers learn and apply these methods to solve practical problems, the book includes numerous application examples for reference. Additionally, the content of each chapter is largely independent, allowing readers to choose the order of reading and teaching according to their needs. This book can serve as a textbook for senior undergraduate and graduate students in food science and engineering, biotechnology, chemical engineering, and related fields, as well as a reference for computer application professionals and software developers in related fields.
[Preface]
Preface
The widespread application of computers across industries has brought a new landscape to the development of global science, economy, and society. Many fields have become increasingly dependent on computer involvement, especially for tasks requiring high precision, intelligence, and technical expertise, where computer systems have become core components. The integration of computer application technology into other disciplines has not only promoted the advancement of computer science itself but has also significantly driven the development of other fields. For non-computer professionals, computers are tools, and their scientific and rational use can greatly enhance the speed, breadth, and depth of development in their respective disciplines.
Computer application is a comprehensive and highly practical technology that requires not only knowledge of computer science but also a solid grasp of other professional knowledge. Currently, there are various books and resources on computer applications in food, but due to differences in professional characteristics, the refinement of social division of labor, and the deepening of computer application technology, the demand for specialized computer application methods and software has become increasingly urgent.
This book compiles knowledge and experience accumulated over the years regarding the application of computers in food science research. It introduces principles and methods of computer application in areas such as experimental data processing, engineering design, computer-aided drafting, economic analysis, automatic control, simulation technology, and enterprise informatization. It also addresses common issues in food research, covering the application of software like Excel and SAS for data processing, AutoCAD for engineering drafting, and the development of specialized software for food research.
This book primarily focuses on computer applications in food-related fields, with numerous examples that can serve as references for solving specialized computer application technology problems in food and related disciplines. Except for Chapter 7, "Enterprise Informatization," the content of each chapter is largely independent, allowing readers to proceed in any order. This book can serve as a textbook for senior undergraduate and graduate students in food science and engineering, biotechnology, chemical engineering, and related fields, as well as a reference for computer application professionals and software developers in other fields.
Before reading, readers should have basic computer knowledge and be familiar with knowledge in areas such as mathematical statistics, engineering design, engineering drafting, automatic control, simulation technology, economics, and business management, depending on the specific chapters being studied.
The introduction, Chapter 4, Chapter 6, Chapter 7, and the overall editing of this book were completed by Zhao Siming. Chapter 1 was written by Shao Xiaolong, Chapter 2 and Chapter 5 were written by Cheng Xuxun, and Chapter 3 was written by Zhang Zhengmao.
Here, we dedicate this book to our readers, hoping that after reading it, you will better understand and master the full and reasonable application of computers in food-related fields, thereby enhancing your work. For any shortcomings in this book, we sincerely welcome your criticism and corrections.
