The "QQ·Writer Cup" Writing Competition is a joint initiative by Tencent and Writer's Publishing House, leveraging their respective strengths and capabilities to host a prestigious event. This competition specially invited legendary figures in the publishing industry, Mr. Zhang Shengyou, as well as renowned writers Wang Meng, Wang Anyi, A Lai, Zhang Ping, Huang Guorong, scholar Cao Wenxuan, critics, Li Jingze, netizen Murong Xuécun, journalist Chen Yin, and Zhu Defu, to serve as the final judges, fully reflecting the high standards, seriousness, and authority of the competition. From its official launch in May 2004 to its conclusion in April 2005, the competition received a total of 117,000 entries. Through the sincere cooperation and joint efforts of Tencent and Writer's Publishing House, after rigorous preliminary, secondary, and final reviews, seven novels, six middle-length stories, twenty-five short stories, twenty-four essays, and thirty-seven poems emerged victorious, winning various awards, thus forming this series of winning works from the "QQ·Writer Cup" Writing Competition. Recommended by judges Wang Meng, Wang Anyi, Cao Wenxuan, Zhang Shengyou, etc., Special Grand Prize for Documentary Literature.
