Features: Regarding wetlands, I think it signifies several layers of meaning: It is both an environmental category geographically represented by Shenzhen's mangroves; a human environment where countless marginalized individuals live; a hidden psychological environment deep within each person's heart; or it can refer to a physical environment in a woman's body that is connected to desire and life. I tried to use this name to describe a woman's journey in Shenzhen—her stumbling, getting lost, realization, maturation, and eventual. I hope to authentically recreate a life as I know and understand it, which is also the original intention behind writing this novel.
