Features: According to common practice, modern vocal exercises (Vocalises) have become a means for vocal learners with some musical foundation to refine their techniques, rather than a foundational textbook for beginners. Before attempting more advanced exercises and complex vocalises, it is essential to master simple musical melodies. For this purpose, I have composed 50 vocal exercises for the middle voice range. They serve to strengthen the voice, cultivate students' ability to develop proper phrasing and breathing techniques, and are composed of melodies that are simple yet stylistically diverse. Depending on the student's level, these exercises can be practiced through sight-singing (using solfege) or through vocal drills. When using solfege, it is crucial to ensure that each note in the scale is sung clearly, such as "fa-re-mi-do." When practicing with vocal drills, it is essential to pronounce the letters A, E, L, O correctly and authentically (using Italian pronunciation); particularly, the A sound must be pronounced authentically (similar to the vowel sound in "rather"). This book includes a set of exercises specifically designed for rapid passagework and multi-syllabic notes in melisma. For those who wish to explore a wide range of vocal styles, this set of exercises is both practical and progressively structured, rich in beauty.
