Features: Each lesson in this book is divided into three parts: Pronunciation, Listening Comprehension, and Text. There are also two vocabulary sections. The first vocabulary list corresponds to the text section of the current lesson, while the second vocabulary list, titled "Vocabulary for the Next Lesson's Listening Comprehension," contains words that appear in the next lesson's listening exercises. This section of vocabulary can be taught in class or assigned for self-study, at the teacher's discretion. The passages in the text section are arranged from short to long based on the students' learning progress, and the number of passages per lesson varies. To enrich the input content, the passages in different lessons may not necessarily be related, but each lesson provides ample listening materials. If not all materials can be covered in class, they can be assigned as homework.
The exercises in the upper book mainly include: answering questions by listening, selecting the correct question; listening to questions and selecting the correct answer; true or false judgment; choosing the correct answer; quick response; fill-in-the-blanks, etc. In the design of the exercises, we strive to avoid monotony in question types. Through different types of exercises and questions from various angles, we aim to enhance students' understanding of Chinese grammar and communicative features while training their quick response skills.
This textbook is specifically designed for long-term Chinese language learners in China and can basically meet the teaching needs of listening, speaking, reading, and writing courses for all levels (including zero beginners), middle, and advanced levels. The intermediate and advanced textbooks can also be used as teaching materials for undergraduate students of Chinese Language and Literature.
This textbook is written for non-Chinese native speakers who are zero beginners in Chinese language studies.
