Publish Date: 2005-05-01
Features: Based on chemical reaction engineering, this book discusses the relationship and mutual influence between chemical reactions and transport processes such as flow, heat transfer, and mass transfer in industrial reactors. It analyzes and discusses the design and operation of various types of basic reactors, studies practical problems in reaction process and reactor development, and enhances the ability to analyze industrial reactors from an engineering perspective and solve engineering problems. The book consists of 7 chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the research objectives, content, and methods of chemical reactor studies. Chapters 2 to 7 respectively describe the fluid flow, heat transfer, and mass transfer in tubular reactors, stirred tank reactors, fixed-bed reactors, fluidized-bed reactors, gas-liquid phase reactors, and gas-liquid-solid three-phase reactors, as well as the requirements for the development and research of various reactors, basic methods for design calculations, and operational analysis. In the writing process, the book strives to clarify fundamental concepts while guiding readers to master the design, operation, and analysis of industrial reactors, avoiding overly complex mathematical derivations. This book can be used in conjunction with Principles of Chemical Reaction Engineering as a textbook for chemical engineering and process engineering majors. It can also serve as a fundamental textbook for engineers engaged in the design, development, and operation of industrial reaction processes to learn and master knowledge of industrial reactors.
