Features: We should better play the instinct of the working class and seek true interests. We cannot forget the greater movement of reviving the nation, and only the working class is capable of undertaking this mission. At the age of eighty-four, I have experienced hardships and vicissitudes from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, and I am deeply comforted by witnessing the prosperity of the mainland of my motherland today. My only wish is to see the unification of the motherland, the reunion of the nation, the rise of China, and world peace in my lifetime. I believe my old friends in Taiwan will feel the same way. He was one of the founders of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Nationalist Party () and is revered as one of its elder members. He served as the first Minister of Posts and Telecommunications of the New China, holding the position for 17 years and laying the foundation for the country's postal and telecommunications industry. He was a remarkable worker leader of the old China, born from the postal service, rising from a postal apprentice to the Chairman of the Shanghai Trade Union Union, and finally becoming the President of the China Labor Association. He persistently cooperated with the trade unions in the border areas and liberated zones led by the Communist Party of China, attended international labor conferences on multiple occasions, and won extensive international support for China's national democratic revolution. In the great struggles of China's revolution and construction, he creatively proposed and practiced the united front within the labor movement, making outstanding contributions to the cause of national liberation and the construction of the New China.
