Through long-term teaching experience, we have found that beginners often overlook the volume of objects when depicting structural relationships, resulting in a flat appearance and a lack of three-dimensional spatial depth. Additionally, when portraying light and shadow relationships, they may inaccurately represent forms due to a failure to accurately capture the object's structure.
Given these reasons, we believe that alternating between different perspectives, structural line drawings, and chiaroscuro techniques when sketching or copying the same object can yield more effective results, thereby enhancing sketching skills. We hope this set of books will provide some assistance to aspiring sketch artists.
