Every stage of a child's growth is a "critical period," and every stage is a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." The level of family civilization depends on the level of family education; in turn, the level of family civilization construction plays a significant role in fostering a positive social atmosphere. Therefore, family education is not solely a private matter for a household but is also closely related to the construction of socialist spiritual civilization and material civilization with Chinese characteristics. The success or failure of family education has a profound impact on the growth of children and adolescents. Especially, the formation of their character, moral qualities, and ideals is closely tied to family education and the family environment. Good family education is a necessary condition for a child's healthy growth, while a lack of it can have negative effects on their development, even leading to personality flaws. In the cultivation of intellectual and non-intellectual factors, family education should primarily focus on non-intellectual aspects such as a child's attitude, interest, habits, and will to learn, while schools should focus on intellectual aspects such as knowledge transmission and learning method guidance. However, the current situation has inverted these priorities, leaving family education in a state of neglecting the fundamental aspects.
