Features: In ancient China, before the Qing Dynasty, poetry and prose were considered noble literary forms, while fiction was not yet regarded as such. Scholars and officials did not write fiction. However, much later, fiction, as a highly absorbent literary form, underwent transformation and reinvention, which gradually changed its perception. But it was still only a small part of fiction that could encompass the qualities of poetry and prose, giving it distinctive characteristics and thus no longer being considered inferior.
