Features: Debussy was a French composer and music critic, born and died in Paris, and spent most of his working life there. He first visited Russia in 1881. He contributed to the development of new harmonics and impressionist musical structures. In terms of musical beliefs, he initially supported Wagner but later turned against Wagner's music. His opera Pelléas et Mélisande had a style different from all his predecessors and was more similar to Mussorgsky's natural style. In 1894, Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun brought him his first major musical success, followed by many other famous works such as "Children's Corner," the symphonic poem "La Mer," and "Pelléas et Mélisande."
