Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 13: The Underground Message (Part 1): Donatello is studying some mysterious crystals when he attracts a group of underground creatures. They begin to roam near the Turtles' home. To find out what's happening, the Turtles explore an abandoned subway tunnel but are attacked by the underground monsters. During their escape, they discover a secret genetics lab left by a giant-footed ninja and learn the secrets of the underground creatures from a videotape.

However, after learning about each other, they must face an attack from another group of monsters.
