Features: The Lu fish introduced in this book is the golden carp found in rivers, lakes, and ponds, which is the common carp we usually eat. The golden carp has a dark back, a golden belly, slightly pinkish belly white, and slightly yellow fins, sometimes with a hint of red. Carp come in a variety of colors, commonly seen in gold, vermillion red, yellow, and ochre. There are also numerous varieties of koi, which are vibrant and eye-catching for ornamental purposes. The body of a carp is flat-sided, divided into three parts: head, body, and tail. The body length is about four times the head length (excluding the tail fin).
Goldfish, also known as (Jin Yu) or commonly referred to as golden carps, have a body shape similar to that of a carp but are shorter and rounder. Their colors are predominantly gold or red, hence the name "golden fish." There are many varieties of goldfish, with diverse shapes and colors, including red, yellow, black, white, speckled, blue, purple, and multicolored. General characteristics of goldfish include large eyes, a large belly, and large tails, with a short body. Based on their body shape and fin variations, goldfish are briefly categorized into three major types: Dragon-type, Egg-type, and Ornamental-type.
