Features: The sustainable development of the ceramic industry is facing severe challenges from the natural ecological environment, and environmental protection has become a major task for governments worldwide. Energy shortages have imposed increasingly stringent requirements on high-energy-consuming industries, including the ceramic industry. Against this backdrop, the "3rd International Forum on Ceramic Industry Development," jointly organized by the Building Materials Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Ceramic Industry Association, was held from May 15 to 18, 2005, at the Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. The forum focused on academic exchanges centered on promoting new technologies and achieving the sustainable development of the ceramic industry. To this end, the book "2005 International Ceramic Industry Development Proceedings" was published as a companion volume. This book primarily features thematic research on the circular economy of the ceramic industry, selecting papers from ceramic industry experts, scholars, representatives from government departments, industry associations, research institutions, and ceramic R&D enterprises. From diverse perspectives and levels, they explore the cutting-edge dynamics of ceramic industry development at home and abroad, as well as methods for technological improvement and management experiences. These contributions are expected to greatly benefit the technological innovation and development of the ceramic industry, vigorously promoting the adoption of new technologies, processes, and equipment, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the ceramic sector.
